Women's team score 7 GOALS past Ellesmere Port Town in pre-season friendly

Tranmere Rovers' Women's First Team faced Ellesmere Port Town in a pre-season friendly at Cheshire County Sports Club. The match resulted in a huge 7-goal win for the SWA, with four of the goals scored by Laura Williams.

The match stayed level until the 31st minuet of action, when Lorna Stratton gave Rovers a 0 - 1 lead. Just 5 minuets later, Tranmere had their second thanks to Amy Shannon, and the score was 0 - 2.

Half-time was called after 45 minuets and Rovers lead at the break 0 - 2.

Ellesmere started the second-half, but it didn't take long for Rovers to score a 3rd after Laura Williams beat Ellesmere's keeper at her near post.

Williams got her second shortly after in the 63rd minuet of the match, when she was played through the middle of the pitch and chipped the keeper to make the scoreboard light up 0 - 4 to Tranmere.

Kiera Onanga made the game 0 - 5 to the SWA after Rebecca Hirst crossed the ball from a corner from the right side.

Williams got her hattrick in the 76th minuet, and gave Rovers a 6-goal advantage.

Finally, Williams got Tranmere's 7th goal in the 87th minuet. The full-time whistle was blown shortly after, and Rovers huge 7-goal victory was secured.
