Tranmere win away against Preston North End in BCD pre-season friendly

Rovers beat The Lilywhites 0 - 2 away from home today (27 Jul 2024) thanks to two goals from Josh Davison in the opening 15 minuets of the match. The SWA managed to keep a clean sheet for the rest of the game and secured the victory.

The match was played behind-closed-doors in Preston, and got underway at 12:30. In just the second minuet of action Davison scored to give Tranmere the advantage thanks to a cross from Cameron Norman from the right.

It wasn't long until Nigel Adkins' side found themselves two goals up after Davison volleyed the ball into the back of Preston's net.

A few trialists made substitution appearances as well over the course of the match.
