Adkins' side travel to Vale Park for second league fixture

Nigel Adkins' Tranmere Rovers will travel to Vale Park in Stoke-on-Trent to face Port Vale in the second match-week of EFL League Two. Rovers go into to the match on the back of a win in the Carabao Cup and a draw on the opening league day.

Port Vale go into the fixture having been defeated in the Carabao Cup, but winning their opening league match. The Valiants were relegated from EFL League One in the 2023/24 campaign, and are likely to back up again this season.

The match is set to kick-off on Saturday, 17 August 2024 at 3pm, and will be played at Vale Park. The referee will be James Oldham.
