Undefeated Vs Undefeated as Tranmere travel to face Gillingham

Tranmere Rovers are undefeated in League Two so far in the 2024/25 campaign.

Nigel Adkins’ side have played four matches in the new season, winning two and drawing two. Over all four fixtures they have scored three goals and only conceded one.

Tranmere are set to face current league-leaders (at time of writing) Gilligham next in the league. However, by then all other teams apart from AFC Wimbledon, Fleetwood Town and Salford City will have a match in-hand.

This is due to both Tranmere Rovers Vs AFC Wimbledon and Fleetwood Town Vs Salford City have been postponed.

Rovers have already faced the league-leaders once this League Two campaign in Walsall, who Tranmere defeated at home 1 - 0.

Can Tranmere keep their no-defeats streak?

It’s a big ask for Nigel Adkins, but it might happen. The match is undoubtedly going to be difficult, but Tranmere will get to see how the opposition fair against Doncaster Rovers away at the weekend.

Rovers’ can look for goals through Harvey Saunders and Omari Patrick, while Tom Davies and Luke McGee keep the defence secure.

The match will be played at Priestfield, on Saturday 14 September 2024. The match is set to kick-off at 3pm and will not be televised.
