We’ve had plenty to talk about this week, from deadline day to a player nomination, here’s this week’s round-up!
Deadline Day
30 August 2024 was deadline for English clubs, and Rovers made two singings on that day.
Saidou Khan
Tranmere announced the singing of 28 year-old midfielder Saidou Khan earlier in the day. Khan joins Rovers as a loan from fellow League Two side Swindon Town.

Reuben Egan
Later, the club announced the singing of 19 year-old goalkeeper Reuben Egan.

Carlisle 1 - 2 Tranmere
Match
Tranmere secured three points at Brunton Park on Saturday, defeating Carlisle United 1 - 2 away from home thanks to two goals from Omari Patrick.
Though Tranmere conceded their first goal of this league campaign, they continue their no-defeats in league two this season run. Rovers also have the joint best goal difference in the EFL.

Aftermath
Later on that same day, Carlisle United announced that their manager, Paul Simpson, would depart from the club with immediate effect.

Crewe Alex 4 - 1 Tranmere
The Women’s Team suffered a defeat away from home against Crewe Alexandra. The match was 4 - 1 at the break, and there were no goals in the second-half.

Liverpool Feds B 1 - 11 Tranmere Rovers Development
The Women’s development team had an unbelievable start to their 2024/25 campaign, starting off their season with a 1 - 11 away win against Liverpool Feds B!

Luke McGee nominated for NWFA L2 Player of the Season
Luke McGee has been nominated for the Northwest Football Awards League Two Player of the Season. The 29 year-old goalkeeper joined Tranmere from Forest Green Rovers in 2023 and has made 45 appearances for the club.

Birthdays
Both Keris McRoberts and Luke McGee had their birthdays on 2 September!
